Apparently now I won't be able to go to the show in Chicago because it is now a 21 and over show and I'm only 18...Some of the other shows are like that too. This sucks. Anybody have any advice besides getting a fake id? Like maybe contacting a bandmember and asking to let me in or something?

"well, in quebec the legal drinking age is 18...and i'm originally from there, so really, i think you should let me in."

or. you could try getting in contact with a band member. i got into pedestrian (19+) without using my fake..they just wrote AA on my hand so i couldn't get booze. haha.

OR, you could just use a fake..which worked wonders this past summer.

Maybe i'll call the venue tomorrow and see if it is possible to get in w/out being 21  I wish I had a fake, but I don't, and I'm not sure where I could go to get one. I would use my older brother's ID but he doesn't turn 21 until December and he's in Ireland anyway.

Was that a serious comment? Haha. My friend and I are actually talking about getting fakes through some guy he knows for like $50. I'm considering it.

I just saw him the other night at the Magic Stick, my friend is a fan and asked me to go. It was pretty good, I had never really heard anything by him other than what was on the radio. I was surprised that it was sold out because he's not big here at all, until I realized everyone there was Canadian.

I saw him play with The Waking Eyes in Winnipeg last month, I really enjoyed it, but I've only seen him once.

The Waking Eyes I've seen many times though, and they're ALWAYS great.

Just popped by (in I don´t know how long) to say I saw Sam Roberts in Barcelona on the 25th! I am in Spain travelling/studying and a friend of mine and I saw a poster advertising a show that night, there were only about 20 people there. We got to speak with him afterward and he is a very cool dude. Ok that´s all for now!

PS - How is everyone doing on the good ole CM these days???

Yeah I know! It made finding information on the show that much harder because no one we spoke to knew where the venue was (Sala Castello) and we tried finding directions online.

Anyway, yeah Spain was amazing (unfortunately home now after 7 weeks over there).

Sam Roberts is playing here in Seattle on Mar 31st, with a band called Mother Mother. Place they are playing holds 200 people at most. I think I will spend $8 and check him out...I've liked most of the stuff I have heard and sounds like he puts on a good live show

I'll be at the Detroit show on Feb. 28th, although I don't think anything will top when I saw him in this tiny performance space in Barcelona.
