Did punk rock get it right?

Well, if OLP's Cleveland show gets confirmed, I'm making a trip up with some of my family to see them.

Dude, your first show. That is AWESOME! I remember my first OLP show.....14 years ago. You will not be let down. Try and get a good spot up front, so that with no one in front of you, it will seem like they are playing just for you!

Thanks Matt. I'm really hoping something special happens... like a song debut or an old song being brought back. But even if it's a pretty basic setlist, I'll be happy, it's my first show after all.

I have seat 39. Can anyone with HoB experience tell me how good that is? I couldn't tell because the seating chart wasn't that descriptive, and since I hit "Best Available" I figured I should just go ahead with it.

Yeah I had seen that, but wasn't sure what standing room was lol. I took the virtual tour, so I've probably seen it, but I'm not sure what exact section it's in.

HOB is standing room. Look for me.. I have a great track record with getting in the front row..

Damn Matt 14 years.. My how time flies when having fun. I never got to make any of the Naveed tour shows. Worked.. Funny thing is one of their crew guys said to me one time. WHo would know the difference if you said you did. I think the band thinks I saw them back then. LOL.. My first show was 11 years ago.. Although I loved them since Naveed.

I was suppose to go to the Def Lep/Poison/Cheap Trick show tonight. Tickets are $140 so later for that.. My next offical concert is OLP at Filmore. I am seeing friends play tonight and next week.. Those are more gigs then concerts.

Here is what shows I am going to or trying to get to..

July:

July 21-OLP Irving( BTW according to some recent interview the openers are a new band that one of Raine's friends from NYC started so Raine invited them to play with the band in NYC. How cool is that?)
July 24th- The Lovehammers-
July 27th- GreenDay
July 31st- AC/DC with Anvil( Do not have my tickets yet though)

Aug:
Aug 9th_ The Pretenders, Cat Power and Juliet and the Licks
Aug 14th- OLP-Atlanta
Aug 18th- OLP-Boston
Aug 20th- OLP-Cleveland
Aug 21st- The Rescue( a great local band from LA)

Sept:
Sept 15/16th- U2 with Snow Patrol( Toronto)
Sept 24th/25th- U2 with Muse(NY)

Oct:
Oct 15th- The Airbourne Toxic Event
Oct 23rd-U2 with Black Eyed Peas( Vegas baby)
Oct 25th-U2 with Black Eyeed Peas(LA)

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

14 years ago? Yikes. I was either a baby or a fetus.

I still have my OLP concert virginity. How sad.

Nobody take that post as an opportunity to start calling Shanae fetus, okay? That's mine.
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.

Sorry Fetus. But didn't we decide we share a womb or something of that sort?

Have fun. ^

I'm seeing Marianas Trench... again. And yes. I will see other bands live. I'm just waiting to see my few favourite bands before I go concert crazy. I fear my mother will say, "Shanae, you've been going to too many concerts! You can't go to OLP!"

Fixed!

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
