Just heard about this on the radio this evening.
Definitly going to have to go.

I've never owned an album from them simply because I don't know which to choose. Certainly familair with all their singles though.

Looking forward to seeing them for the first time ever live and at a great venue nonetheless.

Moved this to the general music section. :P

I'm not familiar with this band.

Sloan in the USA? Must be odd. Their Canadian-ness is just out of control.

I was supposed to see Sloan open for OLP in August but then one of the band members was involved in a car accident so Marianas Trench (still don't know how they spell that -with one "n"??) filled in.

Sloan has been playing in the USA for many many years. I saw them about 13 years ago at Irving Plaza. They play NYC alot.

I feel like I need to start listening to them... I've read good reviews for just about all of their CDs, but the only songs I have from them on my iPod are Underwhelmed and The Lines You Amend.

ONE N! NO APOSTROPHE! You're doing well. I wanted to be at the OLP/Marianas Trench show soooo badly...

I'm trying just for you Shanae!

Would it make you feel bad if I told you that a month after that OLP show Marianas Trench played like a block from my house (outside so I didn't even have to buy a ticket?)

I am happy I got it right, as I was typing it I obviously second guessed myself.

Didn't OLP play in a festival a few years back with Sloan and Tragically Hip?

Add in Hot Hot Heat and I'd die of Canadian-ness

I think your right, I wasn't there (and can't remember where this happened) but from what I heard OLP and The Hip both played for hours playing each others songs - that is one concert I would kill to go back in time to see!
