I have it....

although i feel bad about giving it away because the band wants a donation to Partners in Health for the download and i feel bad for giving it away for free...

see arcadefire.com for details..

(edit: the song is called "Black waves/Bad vibations" and is excellent btw)

Woweeee.

Guns of Brixton. Totally acoustic. About 2 metres away from me in the dead centre of a gorgeous old church. Absolutely perfect.

Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Why is no-one talking about the new album??

Or this?

I'm just out of shot in the bottom right hand corner.

I'm now on a mission to get tickets to one of their sold out shows in 2 weeks time at Brixton Academy because they can't not play this again. And now I know the new album the new songs will be ever better.

I am excited for this album. Granted, I have had it for about three months, but man, I need to actually own it. I have a copy of the special edition set aside for myself at my work, so that will be nice to own.

But let's be honest, the real album of the year will be released on March 20th....Panda Bear's "Person Pitch" will blow minds.

Hell, the new !!! gets released on Tuesday also. Not to mention, the new Menomena album is great, but that's already been out for a while now.

I listened to one Panda Bear song. Seemed okay. I'll probably check out the rest eventually.

I hated the opening track on the new Menomena, and I didn't even bother listening to the rest. Some people I know said the rest is different and, you know, actually good. But the quality of that opening song threw me off so I just don't know if I should even bother.

I'm proud of myself for not listening to the new Arcade Fire. The music will be completely fresh when I pop in that CD for the first time. I can't say that about the other two new releases I'm getting that day. I spoiled them good.

Got my copy in the mail today. first listen was good, but not tooo good.

Person Pitch is undoubtedly great, but i like that stuff better in small doses, or as a background. I think Of Montreal may have put out my current album of the year.. or this Radical Face thing i just downloaded.

Thanks Sooz! That concert must have been incredible. I would actually consider flying to England in the middle of my semester, but i doubt it would happen.

Last night's show was amazing. It beat the majority of the other show hands down (the part other than Guns of Brixton).

I wanna see them again.
