I've only heard the live versions of the songs (well, parts of most of them), and I agree. I was saying to Melissa how they don't sound like they've progressed at all through their albums.

This album is so different and so good!" Usually there have been a few songs on the other albums that are so good that it makes the rest of the songs around them seem better. Not so really this time around. They're all good songs, but there's just not a song that made me go "Okay, this is one of the best songs I've heard in awhile." In fact, I would say my early favorite is that Johnny Cash tune, and it (surprise!) goes back to their more simplistic sound. Anyone even know the story with that song? Was it written for Johnny? Did he write it for them? Were they going to duet? Was it a tribute type of thing? I know there's some sort of connection.
