one could argue o'neill has more to prove then allison does given o'neill has had a few good seasons and then tailed off
allison, when healthy, has been exceptional
go fuck yourself.

Sportsnet says the Oilers signed Pronger to a five year extension.

which means he's making a shitload, but they locked him up at least

sure hes a mean prick
sure hes a great d-man
hell i'd love to see him patrolling the habs blue line
but having said that, i wouldnt put up 2 prospects (one considered a legitimate bluechipper in woywitka) and a fairly good/young d-man just coming into his prime for a guy who's had to rebuild his wrist significantly and at one point was feared to have lost his career heh

too get a top level Dman you've got to give something, Brewer has proved himself some what an underachiever for what hes capable of, and as for Woywitka i dont think hes as great as people say

his numbers in the AHL

GP- 80
G- 6
A- 20
PTS- 26
PIM- 84
+/- -7

possibly a good 3 or 4 guy

his first in the ahl after a fairly stellar career in the dub if i recall correctly

sorry.. it was his second.. but for whatever reason, d-men take time to develop.. a lot of folks gave up on pronger when he was younger heh

O'Neill had decent numbers untill just last season, but he really had nobody playing with him

Jason Allison spent time on Boston playing with other great players
then LA, not as many as Boston obviously but still had some guys

good players just compliment each other and O'Neill had nobody with him really

souray wasnt really "given up" on by nj
they traded him for an immediate upgrade on D (for malakhov) who ended up helping them win the cup that year.. why put a rookie on D in that case, when you can rent a player and win the cup?
go fuck yourself.

when they were there both played well so did O'Neill

the last season hockey was played
Francis had 30 PTS while on Carolina
and Kapanen was already with the Flyers

and that was O'Neill's slow season

I think the Oilers got ripped off, Progner is just too old. He hasn't been the same the past few years. I'm still not sure if he has fully recovered from his injuries.

how is he too old, hes only 30
that still leaves a good number of years he'll be able to play and be effective

So much stuff happening, and not enough to to prepare for it all.
Yzerman signs on with the Wings for one more year.
McCarty signs on to the Flames
Chelios will most likely take a pay cut to stay with the Wings 8-)
Hatcher will not be staying :uh:
We may see Chris Osgood back in a Wings uniform
Habibulen is also reportedly high on the Wings list as well :uh:

I'll have to check into Lindstrom I'm sure he'll have to take a big cut.
