so i finally watched and lapierre's hit on lidstrom was clean, lidstrom put himself in a vulnerable position and took the hit but the hit itself was a hockey hit, nothing more. just sucks lidstrom was hurt given hes one of the best d-men in the league.
go fuck yourself.

So, this Senators game is painful to watch right now and this is definitely the worst I've ever seen them play. :I

If it was a clean hit then his head wouldn't had bounced off the glass. He went in clean but raised his arms at the last minute.

Not clean but I will say it wasn't cheap either. I only said that to further the Avs-Wings renewing rivalry. :D

when you're about a foot away from the boards and you get hit as hard and as fast as ian lapierre hits you're going to hit the boards awkwardly. lidstrom's positioning on the play contributed to the hit as much as anything else.. if anything that was a hockey hit and a hockey play. i actually have a lot of respect for lidstrom so im not saying that just cause i like lapierre or the avs to a certain extent either btw.
if lappy didnt hit him or "held back" or whatever it wouldnt be a hockey play and he'd be sitting in the press box or out of a job. that was a hockey play through and through
also if the rumours are true, the 3 weeks thing is BS and he has some sorta concussion problem along w/ the knee and could be out longer like 3-6 months (which would be sad because he is one of the best players in the league)
go fuck yourself.

Red Wings GM Ken Holland informed the Detroit media Saturday evening that the club had officially made a one-year, $475,000 contract to forward Darren McCarty.

MLSE = owners
well the parent company for the leafs, raptors, leafs tv, raptors tv, the ACC, the parking lot next to the ACC, the hotel being built or thats supposedly being built next to the ACC, maple gardens, possibly the ricoh center?, possibly TO's soccer team and possibly the stadium the soccer team plays at.

basically one huge ass company that owns a bunch of sports and sports related things in TO and that cares more about money then anything else (and has for many years) given they just need to "try" and people will show up (especially for the leafs) no matter how bad they do and thus the team earns a LOT of money (#1 last year and they'll probably finish #1 this year too).. in fact theyve been #1 for a while now heh
