Re: July 2nd Islington (Formerly The Garage)- London England

I was also at both Canada Day in Trafalgar Sq and the July 2nd show. Both were fantastic! Echoing Matt above, the guys sounded great. The Canada Day show had a festival feel to it as there were a lot of people there, but the crowd was really into it singing along. The O2 Academy show was the ...

Re: General OLP News

Did anyone else hear Raine say in one of the recent interviews that OLP owns their own masters again? Did he mean ALL masters dating back to Naveed, or just the masters since they've been indie?

I think he did say that, possibly in the Q interview? If it's all the masters maybe there is hope for ...

Re: New Album in 2012 - "Curve" April 3rd

On my second listen through now and absolutely loving it (note, any Canadians in the UK, if you have a Canadian credit card you can listen to the stream, just make sure you're in the Canadian store).

Fast As You Can is one of my early favourites. I know they didn't set out to make radio singles ...

Great news!

Being so close to July 1st I wonder if they'll also headline the Canada Day celebrations in Trafalgar Square. It's a free event over here, Blue Rodeo played last ...

Re: New Album in 2012 - "Curve" April 3rd

Well, I haven't posted here in years, but I'm too excited about this new album to just continue lurking!

Definitely loving the clips so far. Absolutely love the video. It reminds me of some experimental films I had to watch in University. A lot of really abstract ideas. As someone said, similar in ...

Unless it comes to stem cell research, than he's all about life, as perfectly pointed out on the Daily Show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzXfLFRA2c0

Ahh Jon Stewart, now there's someone who's incredibly smart.

That's a good point, I bet Gail would be able to tell me if any good bands are in these cities when I'm there. How awesome would that be to see like some Canadian band over in England and be like "ya we came all the way here to see you guys"

That's exactly what happened to me. I've been over in ...

I'd recommend their latest album, Don't Believe the Truth, not because it sounds anything like Fuckin In The Bushes, but because its a really good album. There's some really great songs on it, so if you've wet your appetite, try it out. :D

I didn't see this posted anywhere else, but thought this might be of interest since everyone here loves music and some are musicians.

I agree with most of you guys. The video really saps all energy out of the song. At least with WAY it seemed a bit more frantic and chaotic which I thought fit the song pretty well.

Maybe they just don't really care about vids anymore, I'm sure I've read many times how much they don't really like ...

That it's a progression towards paranoia and xenophobia, perhaps?

i used to love WTSOYF when they played it on the last tour but i dont like how it sounds now....

I've seen a couple people comment like that, but I have to say I kinda like it the way it is now. It's kinda hard to tell though without hearing the whole song. It pisses me off they cut it off ...
