* Originally Recorded By The Tragically Hip.
% Extended intro.
^ Raine solo acoustic.

It has been 4 long years since I have seen OLP, so when my friends invited
me to go with, I gave an immediate yes. The past few years have seen the band
playing the States in these 3 band package tours where they are only regulated
to 30 minutes or less. While thats great for casuals, its not what I want to
see. So, this was a necessity for me! It was the only way, or so I thought!
Turns out, the day I am releasing this recording, the band is announcing a
headlining US tour with another favorite, The Verve Pipe. I guess I get to see
them again soon, afterall! I absolutely love taping at The Colosseum. The sound
is pristine and had a great view from my seat in F3. My only gripe was that
they played "Hope" the next night in Toronto and not in Windsor!! I have never
been able to catch that song live, but maybe in the spring. Hearing them bring
back "Whatever" was pretty special (even if I prefer the older version more)
and The Hip cover was pretty cool, as well. No "One Man Army", so I'm not sure
what the hell is going on there. They skipped it when I last saw them in 2021,
as well - maybe they secretly hate that song??? I did have great neighbors,
however they loved to whistle in between songs, so I spent some time in RX7
removing as many whistles as I could. During the encore - it was so annoying,
I had to remove 2 minutes of crowd noise waiting for Raine to come back on.
