Just think how many people have died because the US administration went to war over figments of the imagination. At first when I read this I felt happy that the US was wrong and that maybe, just maybe, the US media would jump all over this. Then it saddened me to think that 100,000 people died for nothing.

What should happen now to Bush and his administration? My guess is nothing. They'll champion the "freedom" they've brought to the Iraqis and that will be all.

I feel like we're beating a dead horse, but the US government never had before admitted that there were no WMD's. In the past whenever anyone said "where's the WMD's?" they could at least answer "we're looking for them" with hope that maybe they'll literally stumble upon one.

Heh. Some of us don't tolerate it, but we're outnumbered by the fools that do.

[devil's advocate]

It is possible that they thought they had them, when they actually don't.

Politicians are lying assholes though, so I just don't give a damn any more.

Well they thought Iraq had them because they have the receipts from 20 years ago. Shouldn't you need absolute intelligence to warrant invading another country though?

See, that's why you need to keep your filing up to date. Clear out your receipts at least every 2-3 years.

Oh, and when buying WMD, just shred the receipts right away. You won't be able to return them, but it's worth it to avoid a war...

I'd say that they had absolute intelligence (or pretty damn close to it) and decided to invade anyways. I don't think this comes as a shock to any of us, it just verifies what everyone has been saying for about a year and a half. Micheal Moore is going to have a field day haha.
I wonder if Iran's feeling the heat now.

the greatest trick the state ever pulled on us was getting people to view this type of thing as a case by case problem.

how many people do you think are going to be calling for the head of george w. today and tomorrow, while completely ignoring the fact that this type of thing occurs in ALL politics at all LEVELS.

"You cannot believe how hard it is to motivate people in the field who know that all they are doing is going through busy work motions because they themselves know there are no weapons there.

"I faced that over a year ago with a team that essentially knew that we were right when we said they were no weapons."

Ha. :uh:
