Do you worry that you're not liked?
How long till your spinal chord breaks?
You're happy cause you're rich.
But how much happiness can you fake?
An ordinary boy, extraordinary medical coverage,
but extraordinary's just not good enough today.
Now a-woohoo, now a-woohoo.
Now a-woohoo, now a-woohoo.
Alone.
I'm thinking Ya ee ya ee, finally superman's dead.
Ya ee ya ee, fell right on his head.
Ya ee ya ee, we'll just laugh here instead.
Now you're worry about horses and
whether or not you should saddle.
Now you wish you'd falled on your feet?
Or wish you'd fallen down on the hay.
You convinced many you were in love,
but I know you were gay.
This ordinary horse was fine the other day,
but unordinarily, today's just not your lucky day. Not today.
[repeat chorus]
Whyyyy?
Doesn't anybody ever know?
Doesn't anybody ever know?
Doesn't anybody ever know?
That you should have stuck with the subway.
the song! it has been butchered! *cries*

it sucks that whenever i ask anyone whether they've heard of olp, they ALWAYS say "oh i've heard of gravity. and that somewhere out there song."
and given that, they think it's enough basis for them to say olp rocks. i'm not saying they don't, or that gravity sucks (because it's an amazing album), but it's not alllll olp is. people who say that are not listening to them for what they are.
and there's my rant.

Gravity got me into OLP...and I'm using somewhere out there for a project....

yeah, gravity got me into them too

...i'm just saying that they're mostly famous for what people think to be their greatest work when it's not. some of the sounds you hear on clumsy and happiness just don't cut it with most ears today, but if you know how to listen to it, it's just so amazing...
okay i make no sense. gravity rocks woohoo.

I think you're all missing the big picture here.
That was horribly horribly offensive. And not in a funny way.
Ugh, how anyone could make fun of Christopher Reeve's (or anyone's) death... it's beyond me.

If you explore the site, you'll also see him talking about how the tsunami isn't a big deal, as he compares the number of people who died to the number of people who die in car crashes each year.

If any of you have read the site that he's copying,
The Best Page in the Universe, you would know that he is just out having some fun at the expense of others. While it may be offensive (the author's intent), these things that he exploits and insults are topics that he's merely discussing because, well, he knows it will piss people off. It's satire in its most despicable, illegitimate form. It's not even technically satire, since his articles are bereft of any intelligence and insight. Love it or hate it...I guess that's your choice.
The only reason why I posted the link to the article at all was because it was OLP related and very poorly written at that. I didn't mean to offend people.

I noticed it. I just chose not to post anything in this thread...until now. Very good job, and you better keep posting.
