I'm on day 3 of only being able to whisper and Soooozy just told me that whispering is the worst thing to do, so I guess I must stop that

Everything's a lot more quiet since I can't talk, yell, or scream and my friends thought it was really funny when I would whisper things to them. Not funny!

When I got home, my mom was laughing at me because I was whispering to her and she thought I was joking around. She will pay for that once I can scream again.

Anyway, it's been strange not being to speak at a normal volume because I like talking to myself out loud and I like laughing out loud, but I can't!

It's wierd. You don't realise how much you talk to yourself or sing to yourself until you try and nothing comes out.

Well, if it's not from a disease of some sort, you should try drinking warm liquids, inhaling steam, and temporarily going off carbonated and caffeinated things. My sister has had a lot of problems with her voice over the years, and she found that things like that helped.

You should ask Dr Johnny what to do!

Personally I find losing my voice to be a bitch, as I sing a lot
Sore throats are more common, and definately no fun either.

in the past i would lose my voice for months at a time.

well not losing my whole voice but i would sound like a man.

When I worked in sporting goods I lost my voice for a couple of days. It was fun when I called guns into the state police and they couldn't understand me.

at least you don't have to work namhead!

i'm losing my voice nam!!!!!!

i have one of those yummy barking cough which is resulting in me sounding like a boy going through puberty when I talk. It is quite funny.

I had a mental image of the same thing. I can't imagine Nam being quiet and not being able to make strange noises at random. I really can't.

aww Nam I feel your pain.. I have totally lost my voice about 5 times. It does suck.. I couldn't even whisper. My co-workers and friends loved it though cause they could say stuff to me and I couldn't say anything back..

I usually got that way when I had a bad sinus infecton and post nasal drip at the same time. I go from laryngitis to no voice. It took about 2 days to get any voice back. I don't know what causes it

awwww, i hate losing my voice.

a while ago, my best friend lost her voice... but it wasn't really "lost" it was just really quiet and really high-pitched. it sounded sooo much like Kermit the Frog, i was making fun of her for 3 weeks straight! it was sooo awesome.
