So.

Long story short, this girl, whom I spent one night not having sex with, is telling people, including her boyfriend, that I took advantage of her while she was drunk.

This is bullshit in several important ways.

1. She spoke to me at length for weeks beforehand concerning her apparently intense feelings for me.
2. She kissed me a week prior to the event in question, when there was no alcohol at hand whatsoever.
3. She was stone fucking sober when she said, to my face, "I love you".

Now.

I can deal with being completely fucked up emotionally and hung out to dry. I can deal with being cut out of this girl's life. But I am having serious trouble tolerating being blatantly slandered in such a vile and serious way so that this girl can avoid taking responsibilty for her actions.

I can prove that her allegations are false VERY easily.

I can provide her boyfriend with the logs of the conversations we have.

So, chums, should I?

If anyone tries to give you shit for it, then by all means, prove it. Otherwise, leave it alone, and look like the bigger person.

I know how you feel when you're wrongly accused of something and want desperately to show people that you're the one being abused. But somehow that always backfires and you always end up looking bad.

Normally i would tell you to just sit back and not really do anything and wait for it to blow over. However, she is accusing you of doing something very serious, just short of raping her. I don't think that it's a matter of 'getting even' but a matter of protecting your reputation. I would do it.

I strictly want to clear my name and make her take responsibility.

Yeah, I figured as much, your intention is not to get even, but to clear your name. That's why I think it's okay. If you were doing it just to be a jerk and to break them up my response would be very different.

If you're just clearing your name and you aren't going to lie about anything, then do it.

The smart thing to do would be to wait until spoken to about the accusations. People will treat you worse if you go back and show all that shit to her boyfriend. It just makes you look spiteful. I know, I've done it before with my last girlfriend. I found out she cheated on the guy she was dating (who she cheated on me to be with) and I let people know. We haven't spoken since I let that cat out of the bag.

Honestly though, if in your situation, I would definitely fuck her over. I'd make that whore regret she spoke shit about you. Make her life fall apart like she's done to you.
