Hee. I saw that trailer in the theatre when I saw National Treasure. Hearing that song through a movie theatre's sound system was fantastic. I got upset when the world exploded and the song ended. :crying:

I saw some production videos a while ago. I hope they really keep it true to the book(s) (I'm not sure which books they're planning on covering in the movie).

I hear the first movie made was absolute crap. I haven't forced myself to watch it yet - and probably won't.

Can't wait for this one!

The first "movie" was a VHS-ification of the BBC miniseries. And if you've ever seen how they crapped all over Neil Gaiman's Neverworld, you won't really be surprised by that

p.s. if the earth exploding scared you, you either need to go read the books, or go read them again as the case may be, or maybe just give up on this one altogether

ahh, that's what that is. I've seen it at Sunrise here (it's probably still sitting there collecting dust). From reading Adams' little preface/author's notes, they really fucked up the story. Well, that and the fact that he's changed the story between radio, TV and written versions. heh

28 July 2004 - Production Update from Robbie Stamp
As some of you know I worked with Douglas on the movie for several years before his death and worked, with the blessing of his family, after he died, to try and make the movie happen.

Awwwwww.
