Whoa,
the most powerful man in the world was in Halifax today!
Basically to thank Canadians for their hospitality during 9/11 and to discuss free trade and other issues.
here's a link for anyone interested

Man, so many people were here on 9/11. I know a friend of mine took in like 9 people, one of which played soccar professionally and another who worked for 20th century fox. Like a month later the Fox guy sent them a big box of DVD's.
And the people who own Moo-Moo's took in some people, so now every year there is one day when you go down in your pj's and get free ice cream because the American's pay for it.
Its about friggin time we got some recognition.
Okay, maybe this is hear-say but I heard that Bush was the only Presidant to not visit Canada on his first term. If thats true, then Chretien or not, he's a jackass.

Nope, it's true.
Usually, it's been a tradition that Canada (since Canada is the United States' biggest trading partner) was the first country the President would visit. Reagan continued as did George Bush Sr. and Clinton just a few weeks after he was sworn in.

My school was letting them all use the showers that for some reason we had even though the only time I ever recall them being used was then. I donated towels.

High school? We had showers in the locker room in high school, and nobody ever used them, either. Well, unless you count to wet our heads after a really hot day of gym class.

...actually at the time I was in Elementary, which makes even less sense as to why we had showers 0.o

My elementary school change rooms had showers.
The only thing we ever used em for was stealing people clothes when they were changing and getting them wet though
Oh and I have this strange memory of the change rooms being unusable due to being crammed with landings and giant fake palm trees... but that's neither here nor there, I suppose.

Yeah, the strange thing was, we didn't have change-rooms. They were just in the bathrooms near the gym.

My elementary school didn't even have a gym.

We had gym class in the playground, or if it was raining, in the cafeteria.
