The Greatest Canadian... Minority version!

Post by nelison »

OK guys, those of us Canucks know about the greatest canadian tv show thats on, but there's been a large uproar about the fact females and minorities have been left off the list.

So your goal is to come up with at least 3 of each (minorities, and females)

Go! get to it!

That woman from the Heritage Minutes who says "But I was not a person!" Emily Murphy.

Oh, and we can't forget the woman from the Heritage Minutes who became a doctor and ripped the fake leaf off the naked sketch of a man, Jennie Trout.

And Laura Secord, because I saw her in a Heritage Minute. Plus she makes good chocolate.

Well, there's Maurice Ruddick. He's an Afro-Canadian collier who, along with his fellow workers, survived eight days trapped underground during the 1958 Springhill, Nova Scotia mining disaster. Later, he had a Heritage Mintue.

Oh, and Sitting Bull, the great Sioux Chief, who was confident that the North-West Mounted Police would respect him and his people and chose to remain in Western Canada rather than return to the United States.

Again, Heritage Minute.

Yes, yes it is. Because that's where I (and many other Canadians) have recieved any and all knowledge of Canadian history.

Apparently they're actually called "Historica Minutes", but I seem to remember the word "Heritage" from when they were shown on TV... :freak:

Seriously, what about Louis Riel? Doth thou forget about his struggle for the Metis, the people of Manitoba and the Northwest?

Wait a minute! He didn't look like that in the movie! Those Heritage Minutes lie.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire

(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
