He has a point that every vote should be tallied... I think we know the outcome will be the same but every vote should be counted

haha, I know. I just find the headline comical.
Nader calls for US election recounts
Nader '04!

haha ya something would definitely be fishy if gradually Nader closed in on the lead after a succession of recounts.
"This is Dan Rather, the latest recount found 16 million new votes for Nader. When adding this to the 17 million found last week..."

It's pretty funny he's the one calling for it... but, regardless... yay! At least someone gets to call for a recount in Ohio!!
... not that it'll matter... but hey, a girl can dream!

But since Kerry white-flagged it, doesn't that pretty much end the whole deal right there?

well it's a democracy so every vote should count. What if one candidate had 99% of the vote and then said they give up and the other candidate wins (like if there was some sort of under the table/behind closed doors deal). That wouldn't be a fair democracy really...

I thought the conceding thing was what ended it, but apparently that's not legally binding or anything... at least according to that article (I think that's the one I read it in).

There are a lot of legitmate reasons why Bush won. Between all the christians/relgious folk, The people who were for the war in Iraq, and the people who always vote republican because thats what they do, it's quite easy to see how he won the states he did. I doubt there is any way in which fraud was committed especially with the amount of lawyers in place by both sides. It's not like he won New York or California by surprise. He won the states everyone knew he'd win, and he won the swing states, and both of those states there is a fairly large gap between Bush and Kerry (Fairly large in the sense that a few hundred thousand votes seperate the two)
Bush won. It's great that Nader wants all of the votes tallied just to make sure, but the result will still be the same.

I agree with Jim. As much as people didnt want him to win, he did. He'll be in office for the next four years, whether theres one recount or 100. Thats the way it is, nothing is going to change it. The sooner everyone just accepts it, the sooner we can all just move on.

I think this one is much more concerning. People still believe there is a conspiracy behind 9/11

It's pretty impossible to move on when you live in this country and have him controlling everything.
But anyway, I want to see a recount for Ohio. Some fishy stuff went down there, and it needs to be double checked.

Nice. I doubt he'll understand what's going on though.
What would be great is if he stopped in the middle of his speech, and asked "What're y'all lookin' at?"
