In Windows XP, how can I tell what kind of file my audio files are? I can't seem to get a set-up where I can view the extention, so I don't know for sure if it's .mp3 or .wav, etc..

Put it into winamp and check the properties. *shrug*

Thanks, that works.
But still, shouldn't I be able to check it in Explorer.

Just checking the properties of the file yields that info for me, but XP is fickle and it's not done so before.
PS: Questions have question marks.

Nope, properties doesn't show it, for whatever reason?
(oh, you said
questions. heh)
"Winamp Media File"
Why the hell can't they just put "MP3"?

I get that half the time. The other half of the time, Musicmatch wins in the imaginary file priority war going on in my comp and it'll tell me what kind of file it is through properties.
So, looks like if you have winamp, you have to use winamp.
