Here's what rolled thru Sydney yesteday. Pics are taken from a variety of my friends.
As you can see, there was enough hail to make it look like snow... and the lightning... WOW! So if you only have time to look at a few. Check out the bottom set. The lightning pics were taken at ~11 at night to illustrate how much Mother Nature turned on a light show for us.
The first 3 galleries are from the Sydney Morning Herald. The other pics are from friends all over Sydney.

Hail can happen in spring or summer. It's part of a severe thunderstorm in any season :nod:

But it looks like winter there :nod:

Your friend must have one heck of a camera to be able to get all those pics right when the lightning struck. :drool:

Storms do not have to be severe in order to produce hail. And I am taking a guess that it is early spring down under

Those pictures were Interesting. There have been some weird weather disturbances going on. How is the temps now? I was suppose to go to Australia this November. Too much was going on for me to finance it this year. I have to put it off once again. One year I will make it to Australia. Now looks like it will have to wait till 2005. :cry:

I loved the photo of the girl holding the hail. That was funny cause it did look like snow.
