"Most everyone at ____________ is Caucasian, has strong _____ pride, goes to country bars on Thursday nights, and has a fair amount of ambition in school." Although there is "a large Indian/Pakistani and Asian population in engineering and architecture, as well as other majors," among the more than 44,000 students, most of the student body is made up of _____, white, Christian, and conservative people. And we do mean very conservative. One of the campus's few liberals writes, "___________'s major weakness is the 'George W. Bush is God' mentality. To say this school leans to the right is a drastic understatement." It takes a special type of student to fit in; just as it takes a special and different type of student to fit in at the ________________________, for example. For the right student, "_____land" is a little slice of heaven. One student says, "Just by taking a brief walk through campus and having a total stranger say 'howdy' to you, you can feel the welcoming spirit and pride in tradition that we Aggies hold so near and dear to our hearts and uphold every single day."

What U. Michigan-Ann Arbor Students Say About...
Student Body
"It's amazing how diverse U-M is," students tell us, pointing out that "there are tons of East Coast/New York/Long Island kids," along with the "rich kids from the Detroit suburbs, people from all over the world, [and] everything from the trendy, work-hard play-hard Greek to the strictly nerdy study type to the earthy hippie type." However, they also tell us, "Michigan seems to be more of a salad bowl than a melting pot. There is a variety of diverse students, but they oftentimes gravitate toward those of similar interest." While not all students are affluent, the well heeled are among the student body's most conspicuous individuals. One undergraduate writes, "Many students flaunt their wealth, from the frat boy or rich kid that dresses like a Queer Eye for the Straight Guy makeover to the rich girl who walks with a trendy cup of coffee in her right hand and a cell phone in her left."

Student Body
Students report that BYU is "a very undiverse place: most people are white, middle-class Mormons. With people from all over the United States, though, it's interesting to find what differences we have even without the more obvious ones, like race or sexual orientation." Students describe each other as "upstanding" and "extremely friendly"; writes one, "One of the main reasons that I chose to come to BYU was for the students. Nowhere else in the world is there such an amazing group of people that hold such high moral standards. People smile, say hello, hold the door open for each other, and are generally very respectful of one another." Some, however, warn that "the nonconformist will find a dull social life with difficulty finding someone that will be their friend, regardless of who they are or what they believe."
That's what they say about the school I'm going to. I wonder who these quote are from though, they seem random.
." Explains one undergrad, "Weber State is a working school. Most of us, including myself, are married and trying to make it through school. Those that I have attended class with are there for one reason: to learn and graduate." Students report happily that "the nontraditional students bring ideas and insight only experience can provide." Bonds are formed within classes and majors; explains one student, "At Weber you stick to other students of your class like glue. We form large study groups and work well together. Students are very friendly and outgoing. Besides working hard and learning how to ace the next test we form good friendships." As at other Utah schools, "Many students at Weber are LDS (i.e., Mormons), and this causes friction many times with non-LDS students and can get very frustrating. Even so, a large portion of the time students get along well."
That's my old school. Yeah it's true, it's more boring than BYU. Good BYE WSU, I will not miss you.

i hate what they always write about my school. it's so fake. blah blah blah diversity blah blah you know some big shot dude at my school probably wrote it all to make everything all pc

now everybody do some research for me and see which one sounds the most fun to go to!!!!!!!!!!!

My parents are pretty well off (at least my dad) but I don't wear UGG boots or letters on my ass and I definitely don't bring Starbucks coffee to class because I can't afford it. As for the cell phone, I only really use it past 9, never in or to class.
I definitely agree with the salad bowl analogy but I think that a forced melting pot would be far worse. You can't force someone to change their mind, no matter how noble you think your cause is. When I was in high school, my choir teacher read us an email that he recieved from one of his former students in his first year at Michigan. He said "It's really bizarre here how all of the Indian students travel around like a big brown amoeba." I thought that was funny.

that was Texas a&m, i meant to blank out all of the Texas A7M's and the aggies, but one slipped through.
yeah, that school blows, i have reason to believe that people won't be nice to you if your not one of them there "GW bush is god" types.
