For Bittorrent fans could we have torrents cuase you can share using that also but in a differet method called seeding but you all probally know that. Would be useful for people who don't really like DC++, Just an idea but I doubt anyone will like it since I have saw one person so far against it. Also, I never had any trouble with it. If you got a decent system it won't effect performance much.

There is no reason for one to not have the hub and SHARE their files, except for the few who are on school or work systems, in which case they can be sent the files they want on a one-on-one basis.
Thus, there is really no reason to have another way to give out the files.
Just out of curiosity, is there any particular reason that you don't like the hub?

i just thought it could be an alternative, still keep the hub but use torrents also...i don't see the harm in sharing both ways but i work alot and don't have time to use dc

Nah, but in all seriousness... it could work, but I'd be afraid that a lot of people that have stuff to share wouldn't because they'd just use the bittorrent option instead of coming on the hub and sharing with us. Who knows, though, maybe they'd seed some torrents for us of shows we don't have yet. It would get the shows out there better. It could really be a positive or negative thing, really, depending on how people treat it. It's nice to get new faces on the hub, though, and I would think new hub users would dwindle if we had the bittorrent thing. Eh. I dunno.

Exactly. The idea is to have a sharing network, not a place for everyone to take files.
Plus, bittorrent is horribly slow.

Though, you must be firewalled like me. Apparently, if you're not firewalled, it's really freaking fast. *stabs firewall*

Bittorent is faster for me than most of the hub

i never had any problem and i use a firewall but it depends on what you are getting becuase i find it down right fast most of the time when somethign has been shared for the first time and spreading, i understand nikki and axtech point so i see what you mean but at the time i posted this i was having trouble with dc++ but now it working fine. p.s. bittorent only slow if you don't set up the port fowarding

Oh, I've got port forwarding setup... still slow.
