Feel free to discuss how much the cancelling of the Lollapalooza tour hurt and why it's total bullshit because fans are now deprived of seeing Morrissey, Sonic Youth, Broken Social Scene, PJ Harvey, The Flaming Lips, Wilco, The Polyphonic Spree, Modest Mouse and others all on the same stage playing for their fans.

Wow. How did that happen?

There was supposedly poor ticket sales for each show. I don't see how though. They weren't playing huge venues, not to mention ticket prices were between $15-25 and shit. I guess the $10-15 charge on each ticket made people turn away from going to see great music live.

Hmm. I was going to go last year. Tickets with surcharges came out to be $72. My friends that did go said it sucked.

I can see there being poor sales here, not too many people would pay much money to see those bands in such a huge venue.

$80 for Morrissey, Sonic Youth, Broken Social Scene, PJ Harvey, The Flaming Lips, Wilco, The Polyphonic Spree, Modest Mouse
Christ I would think $5 would be enough for a ticket

You're done now, right?
And yes, Sparta was on the list of bands for the first day.

Not for the venue they wanted here. I've never seen a show at that venue for less that $60.

I paid $42 for my ticket, in the pavillion. The actual ticket price was $25, then the charges bumped it up to $42, which made it overpriced.

It wasn't going to come to Utah anyway (I'm pretty sure) so I was already mad to begin with.
