Okay. So as it stands, I'm set to go back to the same high school (Northern) in September. I recently moved pretty far away, and it takes me approx 45 minutes every day to get there.
The school isn't semestered. So we have 8 classes all year round. I normally LOVE this situation.
But here's the problem.

I didn't take grade 11 Biology this year. I want to take grade 12 Bio so i can get into Kinesiology (except some places you need chem too  yeah right). I'm not even sure if that's what i want to study or do with my life, but i'm interested in it.

There are 2 schools about 5 minutes walking distance from my house that are BOTH semestered. Meaning I could do the Bio thing. And one of them has a course that REALLY intrigues me.. it was under Languages and it's called "Classical Civilization". I'm really curious about that. Only one of the schools offers Exercise Science, which i'm really interested it. But that's the school that doesn't offer gifted. If i had to chose, I'd take the non-gifted with exercise science.
However, the sucky thing is I'm taking Phys Ed no matter what, but it'll only be for half of the year which kinda sucks.

Another sucky thing is, of course, ALL MY FRIENDS GO TO NORTHERN!!! well, most of em! and i know NOT ONE SINGLE SOUL that goes to the better of the 2 schools near here. I'm terrified of the idea of starting COMPLETELY new, and i don't know how i'd handle it, especially when so much is riding on my marks this year. I don';t know if I want to risk it.

But in order to take Bio, i need to switch.

What do you think I should do?
help me

you can't do summer school through the TDSB unless you fail something/need the credit to pass.
i can't afford to pay for it

My best friend did bio11 through distance ed and I know people who have done phys12 and french12 too and they didn't need the credit to pass (and they didn't fail).

I think you should switch schools. Hopefully you can still stay tight with your friends that go to Northern despite you changing schools. It shouldn't matter. Plus meeting new people is fun :P

ur future is the most important thing when it comes down to it, i'd say switch to one of the better schools and take the courses you want too, your friends will always be there and making new ones is fun too :)

Okay, as long as you have whatever science you need to graduate, you should be fine. Whatever you want to do in University, you'll be able to pull enough strings to make it happen. It may not be as easy, but it should still be do-able. I'd stick with your friends at Northern. I mean, if your a really close bunch then try to maintain that. No matter what you do...most friendships end with a different school because lets face it, thats where you see them the most. I am saying this mainly because I hate being in new places where you don't know anyone, and I remember my friendships more then I do classes. Thats just me. If your really passionate about what courses you take, then change schools. But I would stay at Northern. As long as your having a good time it'll be worth it.
