I wanted to know has anyone seen this movie yet?. I want to but haven't yet.
also do you think this will or could actually happen if we don't start taking care of the environment around us?
I am just curious on what your views on all the environment issues out there are now.
I know we are slowly destroying our planet with unecessary things.

I read something about it in a magazine yesteday. I think something like that would take thousands of years to happen.

Ba-dum-ching!
Plus, a lot of those massively unlikely events would end up canceling eachother out. That much irregular and powerful weather just isn't possible all at once.
Also, since when does global warming cause a second ice age? Makes sense to me!

It does actually make sense. They explain it in the film. Of course it's not possible like everyone said, it would take thousands of years. Anyway it has something to do with the balance of fresh water from the polar ice caps melting, mixing with the salt water.
It has some scientific name, but I'm too stupid to remember, or know anything about it really...

surely the effects and the possiblity of an ice age have been theorized, but the scale to which some of the things happen are exaggerated

Ice age?
sounds to me like the green party needs to stick to one disaster, either global warming or Ica age.

The movie makes sense to me. But if that was going to happen then you'd think it would come on gradually. But strange crap happens all the time. I don't know, I guess I'm one of the few that really liked the movie despite the fairly weak plot line and cheesy lines.

i liked this movie, i think that it won't happen.
this only because we would have to continue living the way we do now with all of the polutants going into the air, but there semes to be only enough oil to last a maximum of 200 more years, so it doesn't look like that will happen.

next time warn me so i can put on protective gear. you know us older folks bruise easy.
did you move yet?
also I don't know where the source was from but when I was in 5th grade I think it was someone said to me the weather runs on a 7 year cycle.
for instance it is year 1-winter is so so, summer is so so. In year 2 winter will be colder and summer will be cooler till you hit the 7th year where it is the coldest winter and coolest summer. The 8th year(which starts cycle again) is warmer then the year before till you get till the 7th year which ends of being the Mildest winter and hottest summer.
I honest thing this theory is true. Look at the last 10 years. If any of you remember 1995/1996 winter was extremely cold and we got all those snow storms( NYC Area), then the last few years it was mild till last year, this year. I actually heard this will be a cooler summer since our winter was so cold. I also heard we got alot of rain/snow was because there was some kind of airmass just off the North of Canada that was stagment. This was since Oct. I just find it weird how coincidental this all is.
I haven't seen the movie. I was curious how everyone felt about our environment and such.
