Happy Memorial Day to all fellow Americans

.
Remember, memorial day is not a day to point out our differences in the politics of war, but to unite in supporting those who put their lives on the line so we may live the way we do.
That said, I would like to put my differences aside with those who think differently about the war in Iraq for today and wish that the troops come back safely.

I went with one of my friends this weekend to her town and she put memorial flower things on her relatives' graves. The cemetary was so pretty- it was on a hill overlooking Lake Huron.
But yesterday I went to my friend's apartment and grilled stuff. We watched the movie Thirteen. It was... disturbing. Kids look so old now!

Haha, I was just laughing about that. Every person who plays a high schooler in movies has to be at least 23.

this should be not only a time to remember what was given for freedom and justice in the world. But also to remember the horrible thing that war really is. It is never something that should be used lightly or premptively. War should always be the last possible option, never a preventive action. How is it that lives can be worth so little that they are thrown away as a first possible option.
