"Stay with me under these waves tonight/Be free for once in your life tonight"

I'm sure loads of people have looked at that line as well but I still find it so ironic.

7 years... it sucks to think about how much more amazing music he could've put out in that amount of time. :(

< sigh >

It's really a shame too, seeing that I've finally started getting into his music.

I guess you can look at it in the cynical way that his career never had a chance to go downhill. He released and epic record and left. He never had a chance to go Elliott Smith on us.

God, why do all good musicians have to die so young?

When I first read this thread, I put on some Buckley in rememberance, but only had time for one song before going out... I chose "Satisfied Mind"... just now, I decided to look up who did the original, and found that this was the (a?) song played at his funeral (his version of it, that is). Odd that it's the song I chose to listen to before heading out today.

I hope there's an afterlife... and I hope that Jeff Buckley still does concerts. ;)
