like no resemblance as all, hell half of the time they sound more like the beatles.....well the beatles on crack........who tend to scream a lot every second song. But half the album is all soft beatles stuff.

now i would like so comment on there live shows....

on a scale of 1-10 i would rate their live performance and energy 12536483493, for a fucking rocking awesome bad ass show........sadly the actual singing is about a 1.5. Now recently it's a lot better and it varies A LOT from show to show. the main problem is Craig gets WAAAAAAY to fucked up on drugs and alcohol, and actually makes the entire show awesome with his antics, and at the same time horrible with his attempt at singing.

oh but anyone looking for the olp connection, The vines are into a little band called "Rocket Science", and even have a link on their site. Now if you don't recognize that band then i'm a bigger olp fan then you. HA!

hmmmm on further inspection i've discovered that there's a 90% chance that it's a diffrent band........lawsuit anybody?

And their slow songs definitely sound like Beatles songs. I noticed that when I first got Highly Evolved.

oh and I saw the video to Winning Days (the song) last night. Craig actually looked (mostly) sane :GASP:

. The band were playing in a forest then at the end in the snow and stuff is building itself...oh I suck at describing things. Anyway, I liked it :nod:
