getting the girl

A few weeks ago, I started going out with a girl I've known for years. We've never realy been too close of friends; more like acquaintances. Anyways, I'd noticed how beautiful she was, but for some odd reason, I'd never really thought about asking her out. I don't know why, but the thought never seriously came through my thick head. Over the last month and a half or so, we were kinda thrown together (we were both part of a play, and we were the closest things to friends we had there, so we hung out a lot). The more I was around her, the more I started to like her. So I asked her out, and low and behold, she felt the same way I did (a rarity in my personal experience). It's amazing how you can be around someone for so long, and never see something that's been right in front of you. It boggles the mind. So, now we're going out, and it's great. I just wanted to share my first bit of good fortune for the year.
