her new single is called 'don't tell me', and if i had to guess, i'd say its one of the ones chantal produced... lol.

her new album called 'under my skin' comes out on may 25th
has anyone heard the new song? what do you think>?

you love avril?

anyways, is it poppy? is that why you're guessing chantal produced it?

I heard the new single the other day. It's alright. It doesn't sound like anything Chantal would do if that's what you mean by "chantal produced" though

If it has a video then I may see it, but my radio stations are crap. They wont play it until like 2 weeks after the cd is released. Even if the single is out now....
I hate our radio station.

I don't think that her last album was really a great representation of her. I mean, sure it was her music and everything but obviously it wasn't lyrically spectacular or anything groundbreaking. This album should be more solid. She has been promoting the last one for so long that she has definately had time to grow up and try to branch out from the same songs she has been playing for the last couple of years.

The intro sounds like Chantal could have been involved with this song. I like it, it's a pretty good song, but I think Avril could have done better vocally. She sounds sorta bored
I heard another new song called Take me Away yesterday, that's a really good song.

As in an Avril song or the Fefe Dobson song?

As in a new Avril song. Seriously, if Avril's entire album is going to sound like this, it will be damn good.

Stone me if you want, but I don't think Avril is anything special.
She has no creative talent, hence why everyone is writing her songs. And what the hell is Sk8tr Boi? I'll listen to the new single but I'm sure I won't like it.

"and made me go oh-oh"? what the hell?
I'm not moved. Avril is no-go.

okay, I don't even like Avrils music, but that doesn't mean I insult people and her for accomplishing something that very few people do.
I have to give her a lot of credit actually.
How many people (FROM CANADA) blow up and become huge internationally recognized stars? On their first album?! That isn't an easy task.
And as for the music itself, I don't know when creativity or talent has to do with anything in music espically in recent pop culture. I wouldn't concider Madonna or Cher or even Britney Spears great singers, yet they are some of the most famous singers of all time. Though she is still creative and original. Thats mainly because people tend to look at each genra of music and take the biggest names out of that. She is now one of those big names which means she is obviously doing something right. Hell, after one album we are already comparing other artists to her. If she wasn't being creative and was just doing the same thing that everyone else was doing that people wouldn't give a damn. Thats what happens to most artists or bands or singers.
Like I said, I am hoping for better things from this album...not necessarily different or better but more experienced. She was sort of young when she did the first album and I think now she'll have a more experience and wisdom to draw from.
or it could be the same old crap.
(oh, and for the whole lyric thing...I don't think anyone can beat Britney Spears "E-Mail My Heart")

It's all about the people that market you, in a pop star's case.
I thought I heard someone say Raine was producing it...?

Yah I heard that too. Might do some vocal stuff as well.
