i've fucking had it...the idiot box is going down

i'm dead serious here...does anyone know how to temporarily dismantle a TV? not something that will permanently damage it but just something that will make it non-functional and that my roomates won't figure out

You could unplug it. Or cut the cord that supplies the damn thing power. You can buy the cord for like $5, so it's not like you're really destroying the thing, just making it useless for a little while. That should work.

him i wonder whether you could unplug the cord inside the tv, or disconnect it, then they can plus it in all the want and it won't turn on. But when you choose youc an just reconnect it and WHAM the tv's back

you know the wire that plugs into the tv, from your cable or vcr or whatever? you can twist the pin that goes into the tv plug-in to the side so that it doesn't go into the tv. if your roomies do figure it out, it'll probably take them a little while.
