Ask him what he wants maybe?
Me and my boyfriend just went to the mall recently to buy each other our gifts. There's no eliment of surprise now but at least the wondering if its the right thing to get them is gone. Perhaps that might work for you two also.

I'm not buying anything for my gf... and she's not getting me anything either. We just go out for supper. Just being together should be good enough. Do we really need a special day to show someone you care? If that's the case then thats very sad.

^ agreed.
it's just a hallmark holiday.
if i get a girl anything, it's just somethin simple like flowers.

I think this is one of those holidays where you should just disregard the clichéd trends, and get him something from the heart. Something you know he wants, regardless of the occasion (ie, don't get him candy or something valentines day related).

Neither have I. Valentines day isn't about being cool. There isn't a day about being cool, nor should there be.

Speaking of Valentines advice, maybe someone can tell me what they think of my situation.
Allright. My boyfriend is a year and half younger than me and he is still in high school although I am a freshmen in college. The high school is having a girls ask boys dance on Valentines Day. My boyfriend got asked. Normally I wouldn't mind him going as long as the chick knew he had a girlfriend and wasn't some hooch. However, I couldn't help but feeling kind of hurt that he would rather spend Valentines Day with someone else besides me. Am I wrong to feel this way?

Who gives a fuck about Valentines? It's just an excuse for single people to feel worse for a day.

I can't stand Valentines Day.
Its a blatent hallmark holiday that has absolutely no significants other then to buy more useless shit that you don't need.
If I sound bitter thats cause I am.
...
Anyways, when I was a kid I starting interigating my Dad on Valentines day and he invented the Valentines Monkey.

Yeah. Cause Christmas has Santa, and Easter has the Easter Bunny and what not so Valentines day needed something. And it was the Valentines Day Monkey.
so get him a CM thong in honour of the Valentines day monkey.

If it's a girl-ask-boy dance, ask him! Who cares if you don't go to the school?

It's lame to go to high school dances if you'd graduated. Who wants to do that?

Agreed.
Someone could buy me a present though. My mom always gets me something cause she loves me. I sometimes get my best friend stomething.

Yeah. I don't want to go. But it's okay. I kinda put him down a guilt trip and now he's not going. What a renob.
oh yeah, and don't get me wrong, I think Valentines Day is lame. But it makes it even worse when your lame ass boyfriend doesn't want to spend a lame day like that with you, if you see what i'm saying.

One year, I bought Cain flowers because guys never get flowers and he goes, "Man, I feel like a woman!" and well... it was just really funny to me. He claimed he liked it because "his boyfriend never got him flowers" and it was "nice to be appreciated once in a while." We're dorks.
