What are some good christmas songs in your opinion?
PS: Probably a stupid question, but are "So this is Christmas" and "Happy Christmas (War is over)" different names for the same song?

The Darkness song is amusing. The video scares me a little :s
Christmas songs in general annoy me most of the time..unless I'm feeling especially festive. Last Christmas is pretty though. And All I Want For Christmas Is You. (I know thats probably not the title, but you know which I mean).
Christmas number one over here is.....*drum roll*.....Michael Andrews & Gary Jules - Mad World.
How festive :\
It's a lovely song though

Work in retail, then tell me how much you hate Christmas music.
Yeah, I swear to God, I am so close to wanting to hunt down the Dixie Chicks and kill them for making Christmas music, then letting Best Buy play it. I swear to all that is holy, someone will die for Christmas music. All I can say is the only saving grace in that two hour CD is Rufus Wainwright, and his song isn't that great either. I want to kill.

at work, we have a cd that plays from time to time which starts with hillary duff's version of "last christmas", which is immediately followed by nsync's version of the very same song.
it is the fundamental definition of aural torture.

Two things.
1. Don't be talking bad about Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog woman. That song fucking owns me.
2. I work 8 hours a day dealing with stupid people, and the accompanying sound is Christmas music from bad musicians. Yesterday, I made it stop. I kicked the CD player and the music stopped playing. No one knew I did it, and strangely enough, no one complained about it either. Shocking, isn't it?

I worked in a resturant where we were required to play christmas music from the day after Thanksgiving til' the first of the year. I'd hear some version of Little Drummer Boy, then another version of Little Drummer Boy, then the instrumental version, then the "pop-rock" version, and on and on and I swear there were at least 12 different little drummer boys out there and that's all I EVER FUCKING HEARD.
And guess what my Grandma's favorite christmas song is that she likes to listen to every year.
RAGE.
Christmas music licks my nuts.
