Matt Mays and El Torpedo

Anyone ever heard of them? I saw 'em live when they opened for Sam Roberts and they were pretty good.

yeah check these guys out, Matt Mays and his band, El Torpedo
their album is pretty mellow, country-rock, but their live show is rock 'n' roll
i've seen them play a few times and they're awesome
saw them in Ottawa opening for Sam Roberts, and at the end of Sam's show, for the last song he invited the whole band up to play, so there were 10 canadian rockers rocking it out on stage for 10 minutes or so, it was quite a scene

Their album is country-rock? They were definitely rocking out when I saw them. Man, I wanna kick myself for not buying Matt's album! I paid for both me and my friiend and I bought a Sam T-Shirt so I was out of cash.
But I got Matt to sign my shirt. He's such a nice guy! He actually introduced himself (like we didn't know who he was after the show!) and asked your name.

He did that with me too. "Hi, I'm Matt. What's your name?"
Some girl got him to sign her shoe. I think shoe-signing has really caught on these days..
