Well, first off, you should copyright it, considering it is your work.

Most "bands" don't do music written by other people...

unless the person you want to send it to is Britney Spears

Actually, Britney isn't the only one that takes songs for others: Theres artists like Aerosmith who have done this as well.

That one lady does it for TONS of people (Diane - something) and hell she's written for Celine Dion too.

Pop-phenomenons are definitely ones to tap into though.....
