question: what do you do when you wake up at 5 in the morning on a saturday and your throat is about half its normal size (i've had a cold but thought it would go away) and university health services is closed on the weekends????

Go to the ER

or

Go to that crazy aunt of yours who got her RN license taken away

i would say go to a doctor, but thats the advice I give to me cause we have nice free healthcare.

Go to a different doctor (which may be hard cause it's Saturday) if you can afford it. If not, tell one of your roommates to check on you periodically to make sure you can breath, take lots of cold medicine, sleep, and wait till Monday...

it's at times like these that i'm glad that money doesn't even cross my thoughts when it comes to medical care or appointments. God bless medi-care, despite what is said about it's quality, i'm still glad to have it
