2Pac: Resurrection

So.....theres a movie with a buncha untold shit about 2Pac coming out, along with a cd that's heavily produced by Eminem.

I know most of you won't even give a crap about this thread......but I've always been caught up in 2Pac's murder.

Is he alive??? Initially, I always wanted to say yes. This website that gives Chuck D (pioneer, from Public Enemy) 's 18 reasons why 2Pac is still alive only fueled my curiosity.

http://twtr.8m.com/chuckds.htm

I've already downloaded the soundtrack to go along with the movie......I only found several tracks intriguing because several of the songs were already released but played heavy roles in the movie.

Runnin (Dying to Live) is an unreleased track that 2Pac and Biggie did before the whole inflamation of the "media initiated" east coast/west coast fued.

Like rap or not: this song only shows how the whole genre could have been if things weren't so whack. Now, the genre is faced with the whole feud between Murder Inc. and Shady/Aftermath.

Eminem did do an AMAZING job dubbing himself a role into the single "One Day At a Time"......I seriously felt like he was kicking it with 2Pac and re-recording the song.

Perhaps I'll see the movie once its released on DVD, perhaps I won't. Probably will..........just to see what exactly is said. Morbid curiosity always intrigues me, like it did with "Bowling".

I don't think he's still alive .. why would someone go to that much trouble of staging their own death? Wasn't his death gang related .. I hated that Biggy guy ..

Deep down, I also know 2Pac is dead.......but reading all the connections between 2Pac and also Killuminati definitely throws a lot of questions into mind.

I'm the same way with the Kurt Cobain death .. they say suicide, but with all the facts, I say murder and I still follow the case.

I didn't follow 2pac's death much .. for some reason I keep thinking it was people from biggy's 'gang' that killed him .. he was cool though, I loved the song 'Changes'

I (honestly) thought, that the year of the VMA's when Guns 'N Roses did the finale, I thought it was going to be 2Pac walking out and coming out of hiding

The finale was so hyped, but of course it was "hush, hush" so it seriously made me wonder. Thus, I was completely disappointed.

2Pac (without a doubt) was a rap pioneer. Not as great a pioneer as Grandmaster Flash 'n such........but he was a pioneer.

These days, the rap genre is so stereotypical - guns, bitches, money, drugs, cristal. Back when 2Pac was heavily in the scene, and before Dr. Dre did a 360, it was mostly about power and respect.

I know people that hate rap music, but love 2Pac. Thats the power that the man brought, his lyrics were hard but they were straightforward and had many truths within them.

Other than a small list: 2Pac is the only artist that I've actually bothered to keep up the collection of his entire discography. Even the unreleased Makaveli "series".

I reckon he's alive...
So many of those '18 reasons' made me think...
Especially the cremated one.
Like no one gets cremated the day after a murder!

I believe that 2pac is still alive. I really don't remember his death or anything. i was too young. I still really don't know a lot of the facts. however, there have been so many lp's sold since his 'death' that are supposetly unreleased, but he could not ahve had that many unreleased tracks that the record company would be willing to release. I personally hate rap music, but this case has really interested me.

I think that him staging his death would clearly be a great idea. I mena just look at what's happened. And that list made many many good points.

And just think about it, If he were to show up on MTV's VMAs, how crazy would that be? The world would be shocked. It would be absolutely enormous. It would be all over the news. For months you would not hear the end of it. So really, him staging his death is/would have been a very good idea.

Staying in hiding all these years would really suck however. He'd have to move to Africa or something. :uh:

yeah, it would.

but i'm sure anywhere outside of america he could pass as just some guy who looks like 2pac if he kept a low profile.

2Pac practically LIVED in the studios.......he has WELL over 300 songs that haven't been released, perhaps more that only a couple people (like his mother) know about.

Just last week, I got the latest bootleg thats been selling like crazy on the streets, Resurrection 2 which Eminem's DJ (DJ Green Lantern) mixed up. It's pretty intense. Now one of my favorites out of all of his bootlegs. Hell, just during the Makaveli period, there was a series of 16 (Makaveli 2-17).

Although I really freakin hate the fact that Wyclef got to do a track - 2Pac hated Wyclef when he was alive.

I don't know if he's alive, but supposedly he changed his name before he died to the name Makaveli. Now Makaveli is some dude who actually faked his death to get revenge on his enemies or something like that. I don't know much about him or what century he's from, but he was a real guy that faked his death.

So I thought that was interesting. Also, in the movie Kill Bill Vol. 1, they call Uma Thurman's Character, "Lady Makaveli" at one point, because they never let you know her real name. They also refer to her as "The bride" etc... but the point is that she escaped death and takes revenge on her enemies.

The man's name was Nicolo Machiavelli, and he was an Italian war strategist back in the last 1400's, early 1500's. Tupac became very intrigued by him and even read Machiavelli's books.

Here's another site with 20 reasons why Tupac may be alive, but then theres also 10 reasons why Suge Knight (head of Death Row Records) may have shot him as well.

Yeah, probably will only play at major theaters I'm guessing........I'm hoping that perhaps a Rochester theater will show it because I'm interested in seeing it.

I've already read previews about it.....and theres an article about it in my new Rolling Stone - they gave it 3 outta 5 starts. It sounds rather creepy how they were able to make it so 2Pac narrates it himself, even speaks like he's talking from the grave.
