So, I was surfing the net yesterday when I decided to pop on over to http://www.fountainsofwayne.com and I saw my picture up on the main page of the site Well, ok, it wasn't really of just me, but it was of the whole crowd at the Philly FoW concert and I'm in there! The picture was up at http://www.fountainsofwayne.com/home but it's a "rotating" picture, so there are tons that could possibly come up. That's an awful large crowd for a band that most people only know one song by them.

I know a ton of people from around here that are in love with them.

but they're only in love with one song. i dont get it. its like teeny-boppers who go to see the cover-of-j-14 hits eg: gay charlotte etc, and only know one song.....

No, a ton of people that liked them before. Now they are pissed "cause they're on the radio.

Honestly, how can you NOT expect to get on the radio if you're gonna make a song that stupid?

Well, if the band is pissed about popularity, I'd advise them to not make music videos. That's a quick way to thwart potential popularity. That is why the Ataris didn't make a video for Boys Of Summer until recently, because if they did, they'd be a one-hit wonder on MTV for 2003. Kind of admirable if you think about it.

Is that the Tower Theatre? No wait... everyone's standing... the TLA? *thinks* No, that's not the TLA... or is it... Perhaps the Troc? I'm bad at this.

I was trying to figure that out too.I was thinking the TLA.

Yeah... that's my guess. Though, I was only at the Troc once, and it was 4 years ago, so I don't remember what the inside looked like... oh wait... it looked a lot like that. *remembers sprinklers going off over people's heads and balcony looking down on them and laughing* That could be the Troc. OK, my final guess is the Troc.

Shhhhh... let me just think I rock for a few minutes. It doesn't happen too often.

I don't like em at all, but the video is funny the first time you see it. Then it's well... you all know...

It's only funny if you've seen Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

That band/ song/ video makes me want to puke and die.

Yeah, it was at the Troc. And for those of you who said that their fans only know one of their songs, that's definatly not the case with me. I have all three of their albums and I know all of those songs. Everyone there seemed to know pretty much all of the songs as well. BTW, which "one song" was it that some of you thought was the only song people knew? Probably the new one, "Stacy's Mom"? I like that one, but it's definatly not one of their best. "Hackensack" is an awesome song and it comes right after Stacy's Mom, so whenever I hear SM on the radio I always want to hear "Hackensack" afterwards. They do have other hits though. Their main hit from their first album, "Radiation Vibe" was quite popular. Also "Red Dragon Tattoo" from their second album. It wasn't a huge hit, but I heard it on the radio several times.
