This man cannot decide where he wants to be
He feels the decision is just too intense
So all his life this man looks down at each side
While safely sitting still on this fence

As soon as he takes one step onto the left side
He changes into a being that he never knew
Someone who recieves all they ever wanted
And never misses their most important cue
However inside there is a feeling unbearable
Pain and guilt that he could never stand
So always he lifts his foot back onto the fence
Sitting still just like he had never planned

This man cannot decide where he wants to be
He feels the decision is just too intense
So all his life this man looks down at each side
While safely sitting still on this fence

When the time comes that he goes to the right
Once again an unrecognizable feeling arrives
A life where faces are always looking up at him
For all of the time he takes saving various lives
Though inside there is a forever stinging emotion
Loniless is flowing so powerfully in his mind
So in an instant this man returns to the fence
Yet again there is no decision with him to find

This man could not decide where he wanted to be
So for all of his life on this fence his body stayed
However somehow i feel envy towards this man
For never once did he worry of the mistakes he made

I am extremely proud of this piece! I think it kind of has the feeling of one of my other pieces, The Chapter Of Life That No One Wants To Tell, but i think I might even like this one better. if you are wondering about the title, it is the title of the first chapter of the book, Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde. Pretty clever isn't it? :P Please tell me what you think!

Well, i'd normally be honored, but the thing is, i really want to make a band... and it jsut wouldn't feel right giving one of my pieces to someone else. I'm really sorry, i'm sure that you could make it into an awesome song, but if i ever do get a band together, i'd really want this to be one of our songs.

But thanks a lot for liking it so much! :)

Oh, i just want the idea of "sitting on the fence," it won't have anything to do with your piece, don't worry!.
