Where is everyone going to University next year, currently going, or planning on going in the future? And what will you be taking?

I'm thinking either Queen's or Trent, for Psychology (maybe minor in Philosophy). [you can check out my journal for reasons. I'm too lazy to re-type it all :P]

I never went to Uni .. too expensive and it's so pointless. I went to college for 2 years and have a lovely diploma I haven't put to use yet in Early Childhood Education.

I might be going back to college next year .. north of Toronto, Midland I believe. I want to get my certification in the animal rescue field for a couple of different areas including something along the lines of wildlife conservation and humane society type work. Children and animals are my 2 biggest passions in life .. I want to make a difference in the life of a child and animals. Screw everybody else.

Though we'll see if I can handle that type of work :(

at the moment, i go to university of toronto in mississauga. the only reason i go there is because of the forensics program. i will hopefully still be going there next year, but it is not looking very likely. i doubt i will get into the forensics program. i am going to try to apply to all the schools in canada that offer it and maybe a couple of schools in the states. i just hope i get lucky and get accepted somewhere. somewhere close to home hopefully.

I want to go into computer science, or networking, or web programming/design.
Waterloo is my first choice.
Other choices include Toronto, McMaster, and possibly York.

Welcome to the Unversity of Michigan. Where you will realize that your 50 AP classes and your 5.0 GPA equates to being barely average.

i think i'll be going to upei, where i'll be living with my brother. it doesn't sound overly glamorous, but it will help me save money.

i plan to major in psychology, and i'm not sure about my minor yet. possible philosophy or polysci.

So it'll be a while before I'm in Uni, but I want to go into Forensic science.. So.. I'm wondering, where are the best places in Canada (preferrably Ontario) to take it?

ECE is usually a 2 year college program, most universities in canada don't even offer it.
It's 5 or 6 years in the states :wtf: wow, i couldn't even imagine having to go through it for that long.

yes if you want to be a preschool-3rd grade teacher here you have to go to school for 4 years to get your bachelors', then an extra year to get your ZA endorsement, then after like 5 years or so you have to go back to get your masters...so 6 years

I know this because my mom is a preschool teacher

I'm thinking about maybe transferring. Not sure yet, probably won't do it, but I like having it as an option.

Yep .. I took the 2 year college ECE course .. I'm qualified to work with kids until preschool and including preschoolers .. but kindergarten and above I'd have to continue on with teacher's college .. which i'm not interested in since it's the young children I prefer working with more .. kindergarten is way too structured for such a young age.

Actually if I wanted to I'm able to be a teacher's assistant for JK and SK too, so with kids 5-6 years old .. anything more would require more schooling

i love kids that age too

like 3-4 years old...
probably because my mom's a preschool teacher and i've been around little kids forever

I work in the lab with 2-4 year olds... they're all so freaking cute. when i have to transcribe their sessions some of the things they say are too cute

The wee ones are the best .. 6 months to 2 years is my favorite age .. I love seeing all their firsts .. first words, first steps .. it's so awesome .. preschooler's are adorable too though. So really, 6 and under is my favorite age but 2 and under is my specialty :D
