So tomorow night is my band's long awaited first gig ever. It's just a house party and it's not paying but it's a start. We should be playing a fair number of gigs in the coming months too since our demo should be coming out in a couple days (and of course I'll share it with y'all). We're going to be playing 9-11 songs of my creation as well as a spiffy cover of naveed.

thank for all the support guys. The show went great. I think we played pretty well and everyone was very impressed.

oh, and sean, we are thinking of doing one more astronaut, I've found a near perfect tab for it, but it's not the easiest of tunes so it'll be a while if before we can do it if we decide to try it.

Can't go wrong sounding like any of those bands

no kidding. It's really hard to pick one band that we sound like, we all have so many different influences. Like our singer was originally into Jazz and Hip Hop vocals (don't worry he doesn't rap or anything, he just sings), our drummer's influences are danny carey and the guy from dmb, our bass player is very tool, ime influenced, and I don't even know what my influences are, mike turner I suppose, and daniel johns, but lots and lots of places. But one thing I think I can say about my band is that we may not be the absolute best musicians out there (except our singer, he can master any musical instrument in about five minutes) but collectively we have an original sound and some very good songs.

I wouldn't say I have an ego, but I know that we're good. But i guess some people would call that an ego, but then if you knew me really well you'd know I'm not an egotistical type, so whatever.
