it wasn't exactly surprising after they cancelled their european tour this summer and then their bass player left (i think it was the bass player)

that sucks they split, "Mary, Star Of The Sea" kicked. It friggin' kicked the mucho.

This was a necessary evil. A happy Billy Corgan isn't exactly what I want to hear music-wise.

A smiling Billy Corgan makes music fans sad. It's a proven fact. He should be writing angsty tunes like the good ol' days when people actually liked his music.

Yea I agree. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Billy Corgan smiling and acting all happy just doesn't work.

back with the pumpkins I always thought billy was a really good writer and such, but I couldn't get into the music because I couldn't stand his voice, but then with zwan his voice wasn't so winey so I liked it. so, in summation, this is disappointing news but not entirely unexpected.

Mary, Star Of The Sea is a great cd but Alan's right Billy Corgan is best when he's writing angsty tunes

i say Corgan should go solo, he's got the rescources and the talent. BTW the bassplayer was from A Perfect Circle as it is. and also APC kicks ass toO!
