Anyone heard anything new about what he's been up to?

Emtee.org hasn't been updated in a while. :(

Isn't he doing something with Collective Soul? I am going to see them play for free, and I am really excited because Mike might be there and, hey, I never met the guy. I wanna tell him how godly he is.

The only thing we've heard about that is that CS got a new guitarist from Toronto. Everyone just jumped the gun and decided it must be Mike.

See, that would be nice and all, if Mike were from Toronto....doesn't the fact that he's kind of well...British disqualify him from the guessing game?

I just checked thier website, and they've still got a theme based around pics of the band, and Mike's not in them.

In the last e-mail we got from him, he mentioned making some music with Jamie ("just for fun") and there was an idea of some performing in the summer, but we haven't heard anything after that.

I'll update the site as soon as I can get my evil, self-destructive scanner to work. I've got articles to jam up.

He's originally a Brit, but he's lived in Toronto for as long as I know, and has dual citizinship.

I also found some random messageboard that had a thread about CS, and they said something about how the new guitarist may or may not be from "some band called Our Lady Peace".

Two things bother me about this statement.

1. How could fans of Collective Soul have no idea who OLP is? They made similar music.

2. How is Collective Soul still popular enough to have a messageboard?

It wasn't a CS messageboard. Just some random alternative music board that had a thread about CS. [I did a google search for "Mike Turner" "Collective Soul"]

Actually, the CS website has a board, but it's in repair right now.

I tried to get onto Collective Soul's site a long time ago, and it was completely downed.

Is it just me, or do they look way too much like a pretty-boy band for Mike to fit in?

Maybe Mike is just what they need then....... 8-)

I really hope he isn't joining them.

I want to see some solo work.

Or some work with Jamie.

Think about it people! "Edwards-Turner Overdrive"! ETO! It works so well!

Shut up you stupid Canuck.

I wanna see him live with Collective Soul. It would be great. I want to talk to the guy about the good ol' days when his old band made good music with him. We could spend hours making fun of Gravity together. It would be great!

I doubt he'd want to talk about OLP.

That's like if I was to talk to you about "the good ol' days when you were going out with Steph". Wasn't that great?! :P
