I chose rap. I dunno why, because I like some of the more intelligent stuff. I guess I like Mike Felumlee, who makes some country songs, and Johnny Cash, and he owns me, so yeah.

I must admit, I like some the Dixie Chics and SheDaisy, but I chose country still because most of it is completely lame.

that's really close, both can be good and are usually terrible.

meh, both can be really good, though bad rap is worse than bad country. listening to country makes you want to shoot yourself, rap makes you want to shoot everyone around you

I chose country. Generally, I can't stand it. There actually is some good rap out there.

whaddyah dissin on country for you foo's? what about corb lund, wilco, five easy pieces, whiskeytown etc. etc. etc.? alt-country RULES!

as for rap. i know that there are some "good" rap artists out there (jurassic 5, for example) but by and large i find it uninspiring so that's what i picked.

I didn't want to have to pick either one, but Rap is awesome. I have really been getting into some great rappers...they are musical, intelligent, and talented. I dig country too...as a singer/songwriter myself, I am real influenced by alt country artists i.e. ryan adams and willie...

Although there are artists that play both types of music that I like, I had to go with rap. There are only really 2 rap artists that I like a lot, The Streets and Panjabi MC. I find much of the rest of it to be quite annoying (although there are a few other artists I can "put up with"). As far as country goes, I'm a huge Johnny Cash fan (both the new and old stuff) and I like Willie Nelson a lot (although not as much as Cash). Those are probably the only 2 country artists that I know of right now whose albums I would buy, but I really do like a lot of the old "classic" country artists and I really respect their music. What I don't like about country is all this new "pop" country. I find that to be just as annoying as most of the rap out there. I do like some of the "alt-country" that I've heard, but I don't really know that much about a lot of it.

But see, rap is FUNNY, whereas country is just suicide-inducing!

I'm sure you all know what I chose *heh*........I think if ya listened to more toned down type rappers rather than the mainstream shit like 50Cent (I think 50 Cent needs ONE more bullet to finish him off) you might actually like some of it.

I like rap......that doens't make me a wigger, I just like the music. Country blows horseballs, big ones. POINT: "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy", thats all ya need to think about.

Country singers blow.......i can't wait for a country singer to start swearing up a storm and rappin about hoes and whiskey 'n shit, blow the lid off the freakin crappy music.
