Okay everyone, i work at futureshop and apperently a huge virus was unleashed today. Here are some steps if you already got it, and here's a step if you don't have it yet.
If you have it:
unplug your internet (i'm assuming you're reading this from a different computer, because yours would shut down 60 seconds after starting up. It won't shut down if you're not plugged into the i-net.
go to "start" and right click. you'll find the search option.
look up "msblast," if you find it delete it (and anything else that shows up under the search msblast.
go to start, run, and type in "msconfig." click on the "general" tab and select "selective startup," then click on services and disable anything that says msblast.

if that's done, then you may go to windows update and download the patch so you can't get the virus again.
If you don't have it: go to windows update and download the patch so you can't get the virus.


That is all.

My friend's computer got this virus yesterday - we were tearing out our hair trying to remove it. Like Rob said, the best way to fix the problem is to download the Windows update from Microsoft.com:

i have no msblast. my friend and me tried searching for "ms" all last night and we couldnt find anything. does anybody know anything else i can do? at this point it seems we're seeking profesional help. *sigh*
