Since when did they use electric guitars? It starts when they know they can go uber-huge.

They dont use electric guitars even now. As for backup vocals, thats thier drummer. They have turned into a four-peice band for some of thier newer songs. I like Dashboard both as solo and full sized band.

if they arent using electric guitars you are deaf, what do you call the guitar in the new hands down
this wont make them popular, it just isnt music that can be too popular.

Actually, it's getting quite alot of airplay here already, and they venue they have chosen is twice the size of last time. So they are growing quite alot.
They dont use electric guitars even now
Go get the AP magazine, they are using a full band now, including electric in some songs.
The cd is coming out then...it's just out for leak right now.

OK. People that need tickets to the Dashboard Confessional show in Detroit. My local record store is selling floor tickets for $21. That's a good deal. You get your floor seats and you don't pay extra charges. I highly recommend if you want to go to this show, you go to my record store and buy the tickets. You get them handed to you and you don't have to worry about them "going on sale" later.

Anyway, if you guys are really fans you would be able to deal with these pity details. I have been a fan for awhile, and even though they are quite popular now they aren't like Good Charlotte and big enough to have thier own clothing line or anything corporate like that.

I love Dashboard and can't wait for the new album! I think I'm going to hold of on d/l-ing this time and just buy it when it comes out. I heard that the first shipment of cds is going to come with a limited DVD as well. Should be awesome! Oh, and about them using electric guitars, that's not a new thing. Chris had an electric when I saw him early last summer. I'm sure they're still going to keep the majority of their set acoustic though.

I just hope they stay with Vagrant. I am sick of seeing bands jump off of Vagrant and go to places like Dreamworks. Chris will sign with Columbia and will make music with them, and probably have better sales there.
As long as Alkaline Trio stays indie, I am happy.

Dude, I am a real fan, and obviously know more about em than you do. I didn't say I care if he uses electric guitars, I just said he is. I actually love all the new stuff.
Dashboard does have a cult following, but so do more bands than you think.

true they are playing two NY dates and are getting played on K-rock where they play Linkin Park.
i think Chris will leave Vagrant he is going to put up big numbers with this one. He also said in an interview that none of the set will be acoustic and all songs have been worked to fit a whole band. So yea maybe a acoustic encore but that will be it.

It's Record Time in Roseville. It's on 11 Mile and Gratiot. It's a big red and yellow building, if you miss it, you're colorblind.
