man, people are dumb. whether or not it's true, that email is pretty disturbing though. so you really can't blame him for reacting in this way, even if nothing would have come of it. you just can't take chances with things like that, who knows how crazy these people are.

you know how many times things like this happen and the band/ artist never find out about it or care to find about it let alone explain to their fans what really happened. I like the way Matt handled it, too bad people are dumb and make the situation worse. I respect his decision to take a hiatus but I'm disgusted by the fact that people had to drive him to that. I mean over something as dumb as this to threaten not only him but his wife, it's sicking. What is wrong with people?

So a worker said Matt Good was stoned, and now there's a big fight? Does anyone think that seems a little childish?

it's just that a lot of fans were told this. it would seem rather childish if say, only a few people were told this, but it happened on a pretty large scale from what i understand.

okay, what happened? his journal is 'offline'.

he seemed to be over this just a couple of days ago, saying they were being irresponsible for not taking the blame, but he would rise above it, and he changed the subject. now, out of nowhere, he's leaving? what is he lesving, the site?

he's leaving because people have taken it too far..they have threatened him and his wife. He's pissed off because he did everything he was supposed to do ..even went on a bit early and he got blamed for everything, he just finds it insulting..and i would too if i were him..poor guy i felt soo bad for him when i was reading his journal last night...but ya i dont get it..what is he leaving?

it's not the first time he's had a scare either, at one point someone broke into his house and took pictures. He cares abot Jenni more then anything in the world, and i can see why he's pissed. As for the Bayfest event, Cheap Trick fucked up, Matt was scheduled to go on at 4:00 and played at 3:50. But do to the mess up Sarnia was telling anyone who asked on the way through the gates that the delay was because Matt was Drunk/sleeping/refusing to go on stage. Because of this thosands of people at Sarnia became pissed off at him and sent him tons of hate mail, and now a extreme threat. Sarnia was using the reputation the media has made for him to put the blame on someone.......if only olp was there, they could have stuck up for him.

it's a shame. He's going back on tour in September/October according to his website but still I'm gonna bet it won't be any big shows. Just small venues like bars and such. I don't blame him. He puts up with a lot, treats his fans great, and actually acts like a real human being, not some rock star.

Again it's a shame and hopefully things will work out for the best. It would be a shame if his unbelievable talents went unused.
