My copy arrived today. I'm on my second listen and I really like it. I wouldn't say it's as good as Tip, but I might change my mind after listening some more.
And the DVD that comes with it is really cool. There's the live show from Buffalo plus the video for Good Times (which I hadn't seen before) and some behind the scenes at the studio stuff too.
I got a bit worried when I heard Good Times, but the rest of it's good, like the stuff they played on the FOTTP tour with a few quieter songs in there too.
Go out and buy it everyone!!!!

If any of you want to hear it, go here:

I've only listened to it once, but I think I like it better than TGOBS. The distortion and general lack of variance on TGOBS cause the whole thing to sound kinda the same and get boring really fast, but this one's a little better for that.

The concert footage is about half an hour - it's 8 songs: Absent Elements (which is my favourite off the new album so far), Suffocate, Quicksand (hooray!), Last Scene of Struggling, Complicated Questions, Tip, Obvious Heart and First Time. The "in the studio" stuff is about half an hour as well.

I didnt plan on buying it after hearing Good Times, but I'll head over the listening party and I'll see what I think of the rest of it.

Wow, sounds like a completely different band. Reminds me more of Tip than TGOBS. I'm not really sure of my opinion yet, although I really like One Thing.

This album is a million times better than GOBS. So far it doesn't beat Tip, but can anything really beat Tip? That album rocked!
Anyways, everyone give the new album a little listen. Thousand Mile Wish is a amazing song!

I liked it better than Tip, but it was far from unique. Each song followed the same structure. Not saying they weren't good, but they were very similar.

He doesn't get mentioned anywhere on the notes in the album cover thingy so I presume that he wasn't.

Nope.
They used Johnny K, who's mostly known for his work with Disturbed.
I haven't formed an opinion on the album yet. It's really inconsistent IMO. There are some really great songs (Complicated Questions, 1000 mile... Absent Elements), but there are some downright stinkers.
Actually the more i think about it, musically it's damn good. But Scott singing isn't as great this time around IMO. He's screaming a lot more than before.
It's not a bad album, but doesn't live up to Tip or TGOBS.

I don't know, Good Times sounded good to me. Then again, Ithought Letters To Chutney wasa better album than Tip. [Tip is amazing, don't get me wrong.]

at first i didn't like Good Times, but it's really grown on me now. This is an awesome cd, and the bass in Conversations is just insane! Awesome cd, especially considering it was $15 and comes with a free dvd. The behind the scenes footage is hilarious too.

This album fuckin' kicks ass. There's no other way to put it. Tip will always remain my fave. First albums usually are my fave, but I can honestly say I LOVE every single song on this album. It's too good to stop listening to.
I can't even make one complaint, other than the DVD. I wish it was more than 30 mins of concert, but oh well.
Unlike OTHER canadian bands we might know of, these guys better not "SIMPLIFY" their sound, they're on the right track.
