hullo girls,
listen, the male race would like to tell you one small thing.
it's not that we don't like you, far from it. we worship you, understand? you're the greatest, most beautiful creations in the world to us. poetry, song, art, we find all these things in you.
it is because of this that we would kindly appreciate that you never, ever toy with our emotions again. we understand that you might not mean to all the time, sure. but what we call "being lead on", you must understand, is like thinking you've died and gone to heaven only to have the clouds fall out from underneath you and having a big rusty pitchfork go through your heart; like having the most beautiful anything in god's creation ripped from your hands and being told you'll never have it again; hell, like being spat upon by the one you adore above and beyond everything on earth, no matter how nicely put. the heights you drive us to hurt like nothing else when you make us fall from them, please mind this. please.
thank you.

josh, i'm so sorry that this happened. we girls are a stupid bunch.
last night i hurt the one boy who means so much to me. i can't remember hating myself more than i do now.

poor josh

i hope you get through this.
but, to be honest ... its not only guys that go through this, though i do understand how stupid we girls can be.
I mean, the last guy i liked, tried to go out with my best friend behind my back. boy, i sure can pick em.
but anyways, i'm sorry someone hurt you so much. you don't deserve it.

Josh, that was so great it was almost poetic.
And it was true, too...
But I suppose it can easily go the other way.

Josh. Listen to me. Grab a pencil and some paper and write songs now. It makes you feel better, and from your little rant there, it sounds like you have some superb ideas for a song. Please, for the sake of humanity, write.

my attempts at poetry/songs usually end up sounding like ass. i'll inevitably write some soon though, and a hell of a lot more rants.

i wish i could write songs but they would be all happy now and those are no good but i have tried and they just sound like endless bitching not like songs.

Writing songs is not that difficult. Put on a great song that won't distract you, and start thinking about how you feel. Give yourself half an hour and you'll have something good on paper.

i think it is a natural talent and its something i dont have just like i cant play the guitar for shit either. if i think of a song it comes out sounding just like that song with mildly different words

Wow, I guess I am musically inclined then, because I can play the guitar, bass, and write songs. Love me.

with enough practice i think i'd do okay. but yeah, it comes naturally to some people.
I think i'd be a good guitarist, but i need to buy one first. hopefully by the end of june ....
