My Television Rant

I am not too sure if this thread belongs here, but oh well.
I am assuming that a few of you people on the board here watch tv, no? Well, if you do, you've probably noticed the overabundance of shows that pretty much state that men cause all the problems in the world, and quite frankly it bothers me.
Anyone here ever watch Divorce Court? Well, I had it on for a minute and all the show does is bring a couple on that wants to get divorced, and has the judge and the wife completely destroy the man. The bitch judge constantly puts words in the man's mouth, and whenever he tries to defend himself, she doesn't let him finish, tells him he's wrong, and gives the case to a woman.
I've seen women on that show confess to cheating on their husbands, but it's his fault for not providing enough money to support her lifestyle or gaining some weight after the marraige. In the case that's on tv today, a man says he lost his attraction to his wife because over the course of seven years, she gained a lot of weight, yet that's not good enough of a reason for him to get rid of her, yet women use that excuse on men on this show and it's alright. Go figure, a double standard.
Then there's shows like the Maury Povich (sp?) show where all the men that are brought onto that show are, yet again, the devil. All those "I slept with 9 guys, and I think you're the father" shows bother me. In some cases, the guy gets to go out there, get belittled by the woman, the woman's mother, Maury, and the crowd, only to find out, that he's not the father. When the guy has any sort of a reaction to finding out that his life isn't burdened with a child, the crowd boos him again, and Maury yells at the guy and consoles the woman. Here's an idea for the ladies that go on the show, if you don't sleep with 8 guys in a matter of a week or two, you'll be able to tell who the father or your child is.
How about those episodes where the woman thinks her husband is cheating on her? They take the guys, put them in a limo with a hooker, have her get naked in front of them, and if the guy speaks to the lady, let alone looks or touches her, he's the biggest asshole in the world. Now if they put women in the limo and had a male stripper whip his junk out for the same purpose, you can't tell me the woman wouldn't be the least bit interested into glancing at the naked guy she's in the limo with.
Yes, I know men sleep around, it's a fact. There's some assholes out there, and you can't really do anything about it. But why should anyone feel bad (in some certain cases) for a woman that brings the pain upon herself. If you balloon in weight during the marraige and withhold sex from a man, he's going to look elsewhere. You can't hold sex out from him for six months and give him the present of an extra 20lbs and expect him to not turn to desperate situations.
Yes, some men out there are assholes because they just are that way, and quite frankly, they deserve all the bad luck they can get. But when the women bring the pain upon themselves like they do in many of the cases, why should the man be treated like shit? She has as big of a part in the problem as the guy does, so why don't people bitch her out too?
No, I am not bashing women, just the television shows. And yes, I could go on all day naming off television shows that make a living off of the whole "Men = dirt" angle, but these two shows just perfectly illustrate the problem with most shows. Nearly every talk show on TV get their ratings from saying that men cheat, men suck, men deserve to die, and I am just saying what I think about it.
And here's an interesting footnote, to my surprise, there hasn't been a man on "Divorce Court" that has won his case, that I have seen. I guess it just proves that the man is the problem in every divorce, and the woman is always innocent in this country, eh?
