The sad thing is that the defense team will probably try all sorts of disgusting tactics to keep the parents away from punishment. They could really cook up quite a defense with the fact that Walter's last words were "forgive me". Totally, utterly disgusting.

interesting to see that the mother was sentanced to only one day in prison compared with the fathers 4 years. she wasn't even charged with manslaughter.
